About The Certificate
Tharwah is proud to introduce SHRM Advanced Certificate in Human Resources Management in the Middle East. A comprehensive, experiential HR Certificate program derived from the same Body of Competency and Knowledge (SHRM BoCK™) used to develop the world-renowned SHRM-CP™ and SHRM-SCP™ professional HR certifications. This Advanced Certificate is uniquely designed: no prerequisites are required, the learner can enter the program at any time, and there is an option to earn an Associate’s Certificate. Plus, the complete Certificate program involves a wide variety of learning experiences including: group discussions, individual and group activities, case studies, toolkit development and a post-test reinforcement of learning at the end of every part of each course. The Advanced Certificate consists of four, week-long (five-day) courses. Each course covers two core HR subject areas followed by a knowledge-based exam. The entire Advanced Certificate must be completed in four weeks of instructor-led class time.

Program Details & Options
The complete Advanced Certificate consists of eight courses. Each course covers one core HR subject area followed by a knowledge-based exam. The entire Advanced Certificate must be completed in four months of instructor-led class time.
Completion of each course plus successfully clearing its corresponding exams are deemed completion of one ‘Course’ of SHRM Advanced Certificate in HRM. The Courses are achieved cumulatively – not sequentially, so the learner has complete flexibility to take the courses in any order they choose (see atypical sequence below).
Tharwah HR courses are specifically tailored to meet the needs of adult learners. Courses are taught by SHRM-certified instructors experienced in the HR field. Students will be expected to complete all assigned readings, and activities prior to each class.

Assessment and Earning the Certificate Highlights:

At the end of each part of every course there will be a multiple-choice, knowledge-based assessment based upon the content covered during that course. A passing mark of 73% (minimum 22 out of 30) together with a perfect attendance record is required to be awarded the Certificate of Course Completion from SHRM/Tharwah. Should the learner miss more than two hours of the course duration or choose not to challenge the test, they will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Tharwah based on their attendance on the course. Please note, however, that unless exemption credit was awarded for previously taken courses, the participant must successful pass each Courses’s exam in order to earn the SHRM Advanced Certificate in HRM.

The exam is scheduled for the last day of each course, however the instructor may, at their discretion, modify the timing of the exam on the last day. Under normal circumstances the exam is taken in the second half of the morning session of the last day and results provided in real-time upon completion. The course assessments will be carried out electronically. Delegates are required to bring their laptop or tablet on the last day for this purpose.

45 minutes are provided to complete the exam; once all delegates have completed their exam, 20 minutes are provided to discuss and review the answers with the facilitator. Should a delegate fail to pass the assessment, SHRM will offer one exam retake which must be availed within two weeks after the course completion date. An electronic link will be emailed to the delegate.
